Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically astute Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a trusted scientific expert and medical partner for healthcare professionals across Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will act as a bridge between our organization and the medical community, fostering meaningful scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and academic institutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing medical education initiatives, supporting product launches, and contributing to the execution of robust medical strategies aligned with our therapeutic portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Scientific Engagement: Establish and maintain strong, credible scientific relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions to facilitate evidence-based discussions and collaborations.
• Medical Information Dissemination: Deliver accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information regarding our products and therapeutic areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Strategy Execution: Support the implementation of medical affairs strategies and field medical plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and therapeutic goals.
• Product Support: Provide scientific expertise for product launches, lifecycle management initiatives, and medical education programs to enhance clinical understanding and adoption.
• Medical Insights: Identify and communicate critical medical insights and trends to internal cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Medical Affairs, to inform strategic decision-making.
• Research Support: Assist in the facilitation of investigator-initiated studies, clinical research activities, and medical projects, where applicable, to advance scientific knowledge and therapeutic innovation.
• Scientific Events Participation: Represent the organization at scientific congresses, advisory boards, symposia, and medical conferences, delivering high-impact scientific presentations and fostering professional networks.
• Compliance and Collaboration: Ensure all activities adhere to local regulatory requirements and company compliance standards while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to drive cohesive medical strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience in a medical or scientific discipline. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engaging with healthcare professionals and contributing to medical affairs initiatives within a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related healthcare discipline.
• Advanced degrees such as PharmD, MD, MSc, or PhD are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Science Liaison or Medical Affairs roles, preferably within a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare organization.
• In-depth understanding of clinical research, medical publications, and scientific literature.
• Proven experience in engaging with KOLs and healthcare professionals to drive scientific discussions and collaborations.
• Residency in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is mandatory.
• Saudi nationals are strongly preferred.
