Your Impact at AMCO

As a Product Designer at AMCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio. Reporting under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the design, documentation, and technical analysis of our oil & gas solutions, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of global industry standards. Your work will bridge the gap between engineering vision and real-world manufacturing, fostering innovation while maintaining precision and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will span across multiple critical areas, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams:

• Design Development & Technical Documentation
  - Assist in creating and refining engineering drawings, 3D models, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications for products such as gate valves, hammer unions, OCTG products, API lines, and wireline tools, under the mentorship of senior engineers.
  - Conduct basic engineering calculations, design checks, and document reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to API, ISO, and customer-specific requirements before final approval.
  - Compile Design Verification Reports (DVRs), test records, and product qualification documentation, ensuring full compliance with international standards.
• Technical Support & Customer Engagement
  - Review customer enquiries, specifications, and technical requirements to extract essential engineering details and clarify ambiguities.
  - Support the preparation of technical inputs for quotations, proposals, datasheets, and application guidelines, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
  - Collaborate with senior engineers to address technical clarifications from Commercial, Quality, Manufacturing, and customer-facing teams, fostering seamless project execution.
  - Document lessons learned and technical observations to drive continuous improvement and enhance future product development.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
  - Provide accurate engineering deliverables, including drawings, BOMs, and route card inputs, to support Manufacturing processes.
  - Work closely with Procurement to specify material requirements and supplier documentation, ensuring alignment with technical standards.
  - Assist the Quality team in preparing inspection references, test protocols, and traceability documentation to maintain rigorous engineering records.
  - Participate in internal discussions on non-conformances, corrective actions, and manufacturing feedback, contributing to root cause analysis and process improvements.
• Standards Awareness & Compliance
  - Develop a deep understanding of critical industry standards, including API 6A, 16A, 16C, 5CT, 5B, ISO, ASME, and NACE, ensuring all designs align with global best practices.
  - Maintain controlled engineering files, revision records, and technical registers in compliance with internal document control policies.
