Claims Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Claims Analyst (Contract Engineer-I) to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing contractor claims to ensure they align with contractual obligations while supporting our company’s position in claims defense and dispute avoidance. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, mitigating risks, and fostering strong contractual relationships with third-party contractors.

Key Responsibilities

The Claims Analyst will play a central role in reviewing and evaluating contractor claims related to schedule variances, cost impacts, financial consequences, and scope deviations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Claims Evaluation: Conduct thorough reviews of contractor claims to assess their validity, entitlement, and potential impact on project timelines and budgets.
• Impact Assessment: Utilize advanced methodologies and industry-standard tools, such as Primavera P6 and Costpoint, to prepare detailed impact assessments that quantify schedule delays, cost overruns, and other financial implications.
• Data Collection & Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to gather factual data, documentation, and evidence necessary to support claims analysis and defense strategies.
• Response Development: Draft comprehensive and well-justified company responses to contractor claims, incorporating technical, legal, and contractual perspectives to strengthen our position.
• Claims Tracking & Reporting: Maintain a meticulous claims log that tracks exposure levels, claim statuses, and mitigation strategies to ensure transparency and proactive management.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement claims mitigation and avoidance plans to minimize exposure and prevent future disputes.

Deliverables & Reporting

As a Claims Analyst, you will be accountable for producing high-quality deliverables that support informed decision-making and strategic claims management. These include:

• Contractor Claims Review Reports: Comprehensive evaluations of contractor claims, including detailed findings and recommendations.
• Claims Entitlement and Impact Analysis: In-depth assessments of claim validity and financial consequences.
• Claims Log: A structured log documenting all claims, their statuses, exposure levels, and mitigation strategies.
• Claims Dashboard: A visual management tool to provide stakeholders with real-time insights into claims statuses, trends, and key metrics.
• Company Responses: Formal, well-justified responses to contractor claims, ensuring alignment with contractual and legal frameworks.
• Mitigation Plans: Strategic plans to address and prevent claims, reducing financial and operational risks.

Compliance & Standards

This role requires strict adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards, including:

• Aramco General Instructions (GIs) and Contractual Frameworks: Ensuring all claims analysis and responses comply with Aramco’s guidelines and contractual obligations.
• International Standards: Applying globally recognized practices in contract and claims management to maintain consistency and reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Contract Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in contract administration or claims analysis, specifically within third-party project environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of contract clauses, change control processes, and claims management principles.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Aramco General Instructions (GIs) and contractual frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
