Procurement Advisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Advisor with over eight years of specialized experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting Saudi Aramco projects and operations, ensuring strict adherence to Aramco’s standards, policies, and procedures while driving cost-effective sourcing strategies and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor qualification, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract administration, with a strong focus on delivering value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the full spectrum of procurement activities, from sourcing and vendor qualification to bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and purchase order management, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with project timelines.
• Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization: Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies that maximize value, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders to foster collaboration, mitigate risks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
• Project Support & Coordination: Provide critical procurement support for oil & gas, EPC, industrial, construction, and maintenance projects through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Performance Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Continuously monitor supplier performance, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate disruptions, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Uphold strict compliance with Aramco’s policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications will be considered advantageous.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or SAP Procurement Certification are highly preferred and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the field.
• Experience: Minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract management, with a proven track record in delivering value-driven solutions in complex, high-stakes environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in SAP and other procurement tools, coupled with a deep understanding of supply chain optimization and Saudi market sourcing dynamics.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
