Key Responsibilities

As an Analyzer Technician, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of process analyzers, ensuring their optimal performance, reliability, and accuracy. Your role will encompass:

  • Installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of advanced process analyzers, including Gas Chromatographs, Emerson Micro Motion Coriolis meters, Fork Density meters, and GE Ultrasonic Flow Meters.
  • Performing preventive and remedial maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations in critical industrial environments.
  • Conducting on-call and emergency response services to address urgent technical issues and maintain operational continuity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex instrumentation challenges, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Documenting technical findings, maintenance activities, and calibration results to support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess a robust blend of technical expertise and soft skills, combined with a proven track record in the Oil & Gas sector. We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years in Preventive Maintenance, Remedial Maintenance, and On-Call services, with a strong focus on the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Education: A Diploma in Applied Engineering (DAE) in Electronics, complemented by a preferred 2-year apprenticeship in instrumentation or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient knowledge of process control instruments, including pressure, temperature, level, and flow sensors.
    • Extensive experience with analytical instruments such as Gas Chromatographs, Emerson/GE density analyzers, and other specialized process analyzers.
    • Expertise in calibration and maintenance procedures, ensuring instruments meet stringent industry standards.
    • Advanced troubleshooting and repair capabilities for sensors, transmitters, and analyzers, including component replacement and system diagnostics.
    • Proficient in loop checking to verify communication integrity between field instruments and control systems.
    • Familiarity with PLC/DCS and SCADA systems, including control logic, signal transmission, and communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, and Profibus.
    • Experience with gas detection systems for hazardous environments, including knowledge of explosion-proof and intrinsically safe equipment.
    • Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics in instrumentation systems.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to efficiently diagnose and resolve instrument failures.
    • Keen attention to detail to ensure precise calibration, installation, and maintenance activities.
    • Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with engineers, operators, and management teams.
    • Strong time management skills to balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • A collaborative work ethic that fosters teamwork and alignment with maintenance and operations teams.
