Technical Trainer - Instrumentation

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Trainer – Instrumentation to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises, tailored to the specific needs of instrumentation systems. Ensure that content aligns with industry standards and best practices.
• Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for employees, contractors, and clients, covering topics such as instrumentation calibration, troubleshooting, system integration, and safety protocols. Utilize a variety of instructional methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Hands-On Instruction: Facilitate practical training sessions in workshop or field environments, providing participants with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge through real-world scenarios and equipment handling.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and the progress of participants. Provide constructive feedback and recommend additional training or support as needed.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all training programs adhere to relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and compliance among trainees and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in instrumentation systems. Regularly update training programs to incorporate the latest innovations and industry developments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, department heads, and external partners to identify training needs and develop customized solutions. Maintain open communication channels to address any training-related challenges or opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in training or technical education are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation systems, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Prior experience in a training or instructional role is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of instrumentation technologies, such as sensors, transmitters, control valves, and PLC/DCS systems. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is essential.
• Instructional Skills: Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs, with a strong focus on adult learning principles. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), Certified Instrumentation Specialist (CIS), or similar credentials, are a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not required.
