In this position, you will serve as the first point of contact for end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and administrative tasks to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve a variety of IT-related problems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and network connectivity issues. Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions for end users.
• System Maintenance and Security: Conduct routine system checks, apply necessary updates, and install patches to safeguard the IT infrastructure against vulnerabilities. Monitor system performance to ensure optimal functionality and security.
• Hardware and Software Management: Configure and set up new devices, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Install and update software applications while verifying compatibility with organizational standards.
• Cybersecurity Awareness and Support: Educate end users on best practices for IT security, including password management, phishing awareness, and safe browsing habits. Assist with security-related concerns and escalate critical issues to the Cluster IT Manager as needed.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Cluster IT Manager to implement solutions that enhance IT services and improve system reliability. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and system updates in the helpdesk ticketing system. Ensure that all business-critical and user-relevant data is regularly backed up to prevent data loss.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT support. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: A university degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in networking or IT support are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in an IT support role, such as Information Systems Coordinator or Assistant Information Systems Manager, preferably within an organization equipped with advanced technology.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting in a corporate environment. Familiarity with network configurations and security protocols is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong administrative skills, and the capacity to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with end users and collaborating with the IT team.
• Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver clear and concise presentations on IT-related topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
