Key Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

• Project Oversight: Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards. Monitor progress and address any deviations promptly.
• Technical Execution: Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to guide construction teams. Provide clear instructions to ensure accurate implementation of project requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify that materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet industry standards and project specifications. Implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and resolve any on-site challenges. Maintain accurate records of meetings, progress reports, and change orders.
• Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste. Ensure timely procurement of resources to avoid project delays.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project status, including progress updates, issues encountered, and solutions implemented. Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in site engineering, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector. Experience with large-scale projects is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry regulations. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions under pressure.
