Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Control Engineer (Oil and Gas) to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Ensure alignment with project milestones and deliverables while identifying potential risks and mitigating strategies.
• Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures, track variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects remain within approved budgets. Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts to support informed decision-making by senior management.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, including schedule delays, cost overruns, and resource constraints. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and enhance project resilience.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, and senior leadership to facilitate transparent communication regarding project progress, challenges, and resolutions. Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and action items.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct audits and inspections, verifying adherence to project specifications and deliverables.
• Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and productivity. Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to secure timely delivery of critical resources.
• Performance Reporting: Generate and distribute accurate, timely reports on project performance, including Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, schedule adherence, and cost performance indices. Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements and drive continuous project enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project control, preferably within the oil and gas sector. Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects with a focus on cost, schedule, and risk management.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, or MS Project) and strong analytical skills. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and methodologies is essential.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster a collaborative work environment, and mentor junior engineers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Work Environment
