Project Planning Lead - EPC

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Planning Lead - EPC to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and optimize comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Ensure alignment between project milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables.
• Resource Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate and manage resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet project objectives.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in project timelines and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals and progress.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and work closely with finance teams to ensure projects remain within allocated budgets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all project activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, as well as company safety policies and industry best practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed progress reports, including schedule updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements by analyzing project performance data and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling within the EPC sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong analytical abilities to interpret complex project data.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of EPC project lifecycles, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards in Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East region.
