Key Responsibilities

As a Governance & Compliance Consultant, your core responsibilities will include:

This includes staying abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and proactively advising on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Governance Frameworks: Develop, refine, and oversee the implementation of robust governance frameworks that align with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. This involves collaborating with executive leadership to establish clear governance structures, roles, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps, ethical dilemmas, and operational risks. Design and implement mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and safeguard the organization’s reputation and financial stability.
  • Policy Development & Training: Lead the creation, review, and dissemination of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Organize and deliver training sessions to ensure employees at all levels understand their roles in maintaining compliance and upholding ethical standards.
  • Audit & Reporting: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate compliance audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of findings. Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders. Represent Master-Works in compliance-related discussions, negotiations, and committees to advocate for the organization’s interests while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Technology & Innovation: Leverage compliance management software and digital tools to streamline processes, enhance monitoring capabilities, and improve reporting efficiency. Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential applications in governance and compliance functions.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, or CIPP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a consulting or advisory capacity. Experience within the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is preferred.
