In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of cost management strategies to ensure the financial success and sustainability of our projects. Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager - Cost Planning, your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Cost Management: Develop and execute comprehensive cost planning frameworks that align with organizational objectives and project requirements. Lead the creation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts to support informed decision-making.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional growth opportunities to a high-performing team of cost planners and analysts. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, project managers, and clients, presenting cost analysis, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Ensure transparent communication and alignment on financial objectives across all levels of the organization.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline cost planning processes, leverage advanced tools and technologies, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Drive the adoption of industry-leading methodologies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Risk and Compliance Management: Monitor project expenditures, conduct variance analyses, and proactively address cost overruns or deviations. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and contractual obligations to mitigate financial risks.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports, cost performance metrics, and executive summaries to support strategic planning and resource allocation. Utilize data-driven insights to recommend corrective actions and optimize project profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field is required. A professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or PMP is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in cost planning, financial management, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or oil and gas sectors is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, or similar tools), ERP systems, and financial modeling. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate financial concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail. Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate financial risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
