Position Overview

Almarai, the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy producer and a leader in the FMCG sector across the MENA region, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Fire Inspector to join our dynamic team in Shamli, Hail, Saudi Arabia. As part of our Poultry Division, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our facilities by implementing robust fire prevention programs, conducting thorough safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with stringent fire safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

The Fire Inspector will be responsible for a wide range of duties to uphold fire safety standards and emergency preparedness across our facilities. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Routine Inspections: Perform systematic fire and safety inspections of buildings, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local and international fire safety regulations.
  • Hazard Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify fire risks, such as faulty wiring, improper storage of flammable materials, or inadequate emergency exits, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintaining Fire Protection Systems: Support the ongoing maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with safety standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist in organizing and conducting fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises to ensure all employees are prepared to respond effectively in the event of a fire or other emergencies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to fire safety regulations, industry standards, and Almarai’s internal policies to maintain a safe working environment and avoid regulatory penalties.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, incident documentation, and safety records to track compliance, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
  • Firefighting Equipment Oversight: Monitor the condition, accessibility, and functionality of firefighting equipment, including extinguishers, hoses, and sprinkler systems, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Risk Assessments & Safety Initiatives: Participate in fire risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives that enhance overall fire prevention efforts.
  • Employee Training & Awareness: Deliver basic fire prevention training and awareness sessions to employees to foster a culture of safety and ensure everyone understands their role in maintaining a fire-safe workplace.
  • Emergency Response Coordination: Work closely with emergency response teams during incidents to provide guidance, support, and expertise in managing fire-related emergencies effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess relevant experience:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications: Hold a recognized certification such as Fire Safety, IOSH, NEBOSH, or an equivalent qualification that demonstrates your expertise in fire safety and occupational health.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in fire safety, fire inspection, firefighting, or emergency response, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of fire detection and suppression systems, as well as fire prevention and emergency response procedures, is essential.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to prepare comprehensive inspection reports, incident documentation, and safety records with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with employees, management, and regulatory authorities.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of responding to emergency situations, including lifting, climbing, and maneuvering in challenging environments when necessary.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to create reports and presentations.
