Enterprise Content Management ECM Engineer (Laserfiche)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Engineer specializing in Laserfiche to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge ECM solutions that leverage the Laserfiche platform and Microsoft technologies. Your primary objective will be to automate business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization. As a trusted technical expert, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant content management solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The ECM Engineer will play a pivotal role in transforming how the organization manages, processes, and leverages its critical business content. Your responsibilities will include:

• Process Automation and Workflow Development: Design, develop, and maintain Laserfiche Forms and Business Process solutions to automate workflows, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery across departments.
• Workflow Optimization: Build and optimize Laserfiche Workflow solutions, incorporating advanced features such as routing, approvals, escalations, notifications, SLA monitoring, and exception handling to ensure seamless business operations.
• Enterprise Application Integration: Develop and maintain robust integrations between Laserfiche and core enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HRMS, portals, identity management platforms, email systems, and payment gateways, to create a unified and cohesive digital ecosystem.
• Custom Application Development: Utilize C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies to design and implement tailored solutions that extend the functionality of the Laserfiche platform and meet specific business needs.
• API and Middleware Development: Create and deploy API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and Web Services, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability between disparate systems and applications.
• Technical Design and Documentation: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs, repository structures, metadata models, workflow logic, and automation solutions. Prepare comprehensive solution architecture documents, deployment plans, test cases, and release documentation to support implementation and maintenance activities.
• Document Capture and Content Management: Support and enhance document capture, ingestion, OCR processing, metadata validation, classification, and content management capabilities to ensure accurate and efficient handling of enterprise content.
• Testing, Deployment, and Support: Participate in rigorous solution testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-implementation support to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of ECM solutions.
• Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve workflow issues, integration failures, performance bottlenecks, and application defects to maintain optimal system functionality and user satisfaction.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to stringent security standards, records governance requirements, repository controls, and organizational policies to safeguard sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with business analysts, system administrators, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality ECM solutions. Contribute to the development of coding standards, reusable components, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.
• Certifications: Laserfiche certifications are essential, and professional certifications in Microsoft Technologies, Software Development, Integration Platforms, or Cloud Technologies are highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Application Development, ECM, Business Process Management (BPM), or Digital Transformation projects is required. You should have a proven track record in Laserfiche development, including Forms and Workflow solutions, as well as expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, and SQL Server.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in system integrations using APIs and enterprise integration patterns, along with a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive skill set to this role, including:

• Expertise in Laserfiche Forms, Business Processes, and Workflow Automation.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Strong capabilities in API development and integration using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and Web Services.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, including Stored Procedures, Database Design, and Query Optimization.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management concepts, Metadata Management, and Document Management best practices.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for user interface customization and form enhancements.
• Understanding of Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and authentication mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with OCR, document capture, and content classification solutions.
• Proficiency in Source Control Management, Release Management, and adherence to Software Development best practices.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
