Team Leader-Housekeeping

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader-Housekeeping to oversee housekeeping operations in our prestigious establishment located in the Financial District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of housekeeping professionals, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of service excellence, aligning with our commitment to delivering a luxurious and seamless experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision: Assist management in all aspects of team operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating staff. Serve as a role model and mentor, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect guest rooms and assigned areas after cleaning to ensure compliance with company standards. Complete checklists to document cleanliness and condition, and promptly address any discrepancies.
• Guest Service Excellence: Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and inquiries. Anticipate and address service needs, ensuring a welcoming and accommodating experience for all guests, including individuals with disabilities.
• Operational Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and security procedures. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or accidents, and complete required safety training and certifications. Properly store and handle flammable materials in accordance with regulations.
• Administrative Duties: Complete all required housekeeping paperwork, including room assignments, cleaning schedules, and inspection reports. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to elevate housekeeping standards and guest satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across departments. Support team goals, listen to employee concerns, and communicate effectively using clear and professional language.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 55 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 55 pounds with assistance. You will be responsible for pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts and machinery over various surfaces, including slopes and uneven terrain. The position involves frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are essential for handling objects of varying sizes and weights. The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods is required, as is the capacity to visually verify and interpret written documents and use computers or point-of-sale systems for work-related tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in housekeeping or a supervisory capacity.
• Certifications: None required.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
