Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy comprehensive data protection policies, standards, and procedures that align with enterprise-wide objectives, ensuring consistency and scalability across all business units.
• Lead the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, implementing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to detect, monitor, and prevent unauthorized data leaks while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Establish and enforce data classification frameworks, ensuring sensitive information is accurately categorized, handled, and protected through encryption, masking, tokenization, and granular access controls.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies, guaranteeing business continuity and resilience against cyber threats or systemic failures.
• Ensure unwavering compliance with global data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific standards, while conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders—to embed data protection into every operational workflow and decision-making process.
• Evaluate and deploy advanced data protection technologies and security tools, leveraging emerging innovations to enhance threat detection, incident response, and overall cybersecurity posture.
• Translate complex data protection metrics into actionable insights, presenting clear reports and dashboards to senior leadership for informed decision-making and strategic alignment.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in information security, data governance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred for advanced technical and strategic depth.
• 8–10+ years of hands-on experience in data protection, governance, and security, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity to drive organizational change and influence policy.
• Expertise in data classification, encryption methodologies, DLP frameworks, and regulatory compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and other jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for staying ahead of evolving cyber threats, coupled with the ability to translate technical complexities into business-aligned solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with IT, legal, and business teams, fostering a culture of accountability and security awareness.
