About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a 12-month contract position. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of critical IT infrastructure, applications, and systems while maintaining adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and delivering exceptional support to end-users. The successful candidate will act as a trusted IT ambassador, fostering strong relationships with local business stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following core duties:

• System Maintenance and Support: Provide expert-level support for critical IT-managed applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Oversee system maintenance activities, including troubleshooting outages, resolving technical issues, and implementing preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
• SLA Compliance and KPI Achievement: Deliver IT support services in strict accordance with defined SLAs to meet both IT and business key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitor performance metrics and proactively address any deviations to maintain high service standards.
• Project and Change Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT-related change requests and projects that impact local or regional business operations. This includes infrastructure upgrades, data warehouse solutions (DWS), application deployments, and security enhancements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary IT focal point for business stakeholders, delivering monthly IT service reports that highlight performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Actively manage business satisfaction by addressing concerns, gathering feedback, and implementing actionable solutions.
• Technical Oversight: Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and operating systems. Ensure alignment with organizational policies, security protocols, and industry best practices.

Technical and Educational Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following technical competencies and qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Windows: Intermediate proficiency in Windows client environments, including troubleshooting, configuration, and user support.
  • Windows Servers and Active Directory: Basic understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory services, and domain management.
  • Linux Systems: Fundamental knowledge of Linux operating systems, including command-line operations and basic system administration.
  • Computer Networking: Intermediate-level expertise in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure, networking, or system administration will be considered advantageous.
