Procurement Agent – Purchasing Department

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Execution: Process purchase requisitions, orders, and contracts in alignment with company policies and procurement guidelines, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to meet operational demands.
• Supplier Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong, mutually beneficial partnerships that drive value for the organization.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce expenditures without compromising quality or service standards.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Finance, Operations, and Facilities to align procurement activities with broader business objectives and operational needs.
• Market Research & Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform purchasing decisions and enhance procurement strategies.
• Risk Management: Assess potential risks associated with suppliers and procurement processes, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s interests and reputation.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of educational background, professional experience, and personal attributes that align with Marriott International’s commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent professional experience in procurement or purchasing may be considered.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the hospitality, service, or corporate sectors.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail, enabling you to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is highly desirable, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
