Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
The Schedule / Lean Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing excavation documentation outputs generated from production activities. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all documentation—including logs, drawings, and related records—is complete, consistent, and fully compliant with project requirements. You will support the preparation and maintenance of these documents, ensuring they accurately reflect field updates and are ready for stakeholder review and reporting.
Your role will involve verifying that documentation is updated in real-time, flagging any discrepancies for immediate correction to maintain data integrity. Collaboration with site teams, production coordinators, and document control specialists will be essential to capture changes, manage document versions, and facilitate smooth handover processes. Additionally, you will assist in preparing documentation for audits and internal quality checks, ensuring full traceability from execution to final records.
Core Duties
- Coordinate and review excavation documentation to ensure completeness, consistency, and alignment with project specifications.
- Support the preparation of logs, drawings, and related documentation for reporting and stakeholder review.
- Verify that field updates are accurately reflected in project documentation and flag discrepancies for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including site personnel, production coordinators, and quality/document control specialists, to maintain document accuracy and version control.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and internal quality checks, ensuring traceability from execution to records.
- Leverage engineering drawings, excavation/earthworks terminology, and standard reporting requirements to support project documentation needs.
- Utilize relevant computer skills and tools for documentation preparation, including drawing/document management and reporting systems, to maintain organized and accessible project records.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in supporting excavation documentation within construction or production environments. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience with site documentation workflows and a deep understanding of construction documentation practices, including as-built/record drawings, logs, version control, and document traceability in a production setting.
Proficiency in document control processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment are critical. You should be familiar with engineering drawings, excavation/earthworks terminology, and typical reporting requirements used in construction projects. Strong computer skills, particularly in documentation preparation and project record management tools, are also required to ensure efficiency and accuracy in your work.
