Position Overview

We are currently inviting applications for the role of Engineer I, Maint Elect Design, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our electrical systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities

As an Engineer I, Maint Elect Design, you will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities designed to maintain and enhance the operational capabilities of our electrical infrastructure. Your duties will include:

• Developing and Implementing Maintenance Strategies: Create, update, and execute procedures, preventive maintenance (PM) plans, and fault reports to ensure the optimal performance of electrical activities and equipment across the facility.
• Fault Diagnosis and Resolution: Conduct timely and accurate fault-finding and diagnosis of critical and complex electrical equipment, implementing optimal solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Policy and Procedure Contribution: Provide valuable input into the development and refinement of departmental and functional policies and procedures, aligning them with the company’s strategic objectives and industry best practices.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Uphold and promote the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices, fostering a secure and compliant work environment for all team members and stakeholders.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Collaborate with inspection and reliability teams to perform thorough root cause analyses for repeated failures or rework cases, identifying underlying issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Material Management: Review and validate material reservations, requisitions, and adequacy in coordination with relevant functions to ensure the availability of necessary resources for electrical maintenance activities.
• Team Development and Mentorship: Offer coaching, guidance, training, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the development of essential technical and operational skills.
• Preventative Maintenance Execution: Actively participate in routine and preventative electrical maintenance tasks to guarantee the continuous availability and reliability of critical equipment.
• System Enhancements and Modifications: Install, commission, modify, and suggest design improvements for electrical systems and equipment in accordance with company specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, or a related discipline, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical systems, including motors, transformers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in root cause analysis and troubleshooting methodologies to identify and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Safety and Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of safety standards, industrial codes, and regulatory requirements governing electrical systems and maintenance practices.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation with precision and clarity.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communication Skills: Fluency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
