About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Nursery Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team on a fixed-term contract (12 months) to cover maternity leave. This Band 4 position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of families with children aged 0-5 years within the Scottish Borders region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Health Visiting Team to address unmet health needs, promote healthy development, and reduce health inequalities through direct engagement with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Family Support: Work collaboratively with families to provide guidance on parenting, health promotion, and early childhood development, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
- Health Promotion: Deliver targeted interventions to enhance the health and well-being of children and their families, with a focus on reducing health disparities and fostering positive health outcomes.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with local communities to identify and address emerging health needs, ensuring that services are accessible and responsive to the diverse populations within the Scottish Borders.
- Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including health visitors, midwives, and social care professionals, to deliver integrated care and support services.
- Travel Requirements: This role involves working across multiple locations, including Galashiels Health Centre and Haylodge Health Centre, with regular travel expected within the Scottish Borders to meet the needs of the community.

- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent professional body.

Location and Travel
