As the Director – Projects, you will serve as the architect of project success, overseeing every facet of delivery—from budgetary control and risk mitigation to stakeholder engagement and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic and high-stakes environment, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership & Vision Setting: Define and communicate the project’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s overarching goals while driving operational excellence and cost efficiency.
• Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Culture: Champion a robust safety culture by conducting inspections, audits, and investigations, while fostering an environment where health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritized at every level.
• Inspirational Leadership: Model Qiddiya’s core values through visible, inclusive leadership, mentoring high-potential talent, and implementing succession planning to build a resilient and motivated workforce.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead seamless integration across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
• Stakeholder & Executive Engagement: Present progress updates to senior management and QIC control committees, translating complex technical details into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
• Commercial & Financial Oversight: Work closely with commercial, contracts, and cost teams to optimize project economics, manage financial risks, and ensure adherence to approved budgets and milestones.
• Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while driving process enhancements and leveraging best practices to enhance efficiency and innovation.
• Strategic Decision-Making: Make high-impact, data-driven decisions that drive project success, whether through change management, resource allocation, or stakeholder negotiations.

Requirements

To excel in this position, you must possess:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 15–20 years of progressive experience as a Project Manager, with a strong background in leading mega-scale or large complex projects across private and/or government sectors.
• Proven expertise in commercial and contractual management, including contract formats, risk allocation, and negotiation strategies.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical direction to diverse audiences, from frontline teams to executive leadership.
• A track record of strategic decision-making that drives project success, including experience in change management, budget optimization, and stakeholder alignment.
• Deep knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices, with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Experience in developing and implementing business systems, including policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance project delivery.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, delivering results under tight deadlines while fostering collaboration and innovation.
