Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FPS-117 Radar Engineer to support critical radar operations for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). Key Responsibilities

In this critical position, you will provide expert technical guidance and support to the RSAF Officer-in-Charge by performing a wide range of specialized tasks, including:

• Technical Advisory and Support: Actively advise and assist in all aspects of radar operations, maintenance, and strategic improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Monitoring and Training: Continuously monitor RSAF training programs in radar operations and maintenance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and recommending best practices to optimize training effectiveness.
• Engineering Training Development: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive engineering training materials tailored to RSAF Engineering Officers and Warrant Officers, ensuring they are equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for their roles.
• Intermediate Maintenance: Perform intermediate-level maintenance on FPS-117 radar systems as required, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
• System Integration and Upgrades: Support the installation, testing, integration, and modification of FPS-117 radar systems, including upgrades to enhance functionality and address evolving operational requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Conduct specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and training at remote radar sites as part of the Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT), ensuring consistent performance across all locations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in radar systems, with at least fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience with a variety of surveillance radars, including the FPS-117.
• Demonstrated expertise in FPS-117 radar operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including installation, testing, integration, and system upgrades.
• Comprehensive knowledge of radar subsystems, including antennas, processors, computers, monitoring systems, data transmission, plot extractors, height computers, and power systems.
• At least three (3) years of direct experience in developing and/or maintaining the FPS-117 radar system, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and operational standards.
• Familiarity with Air Defense Ground Radar, Primary/Secondary radar systems, and 3-dimensional radar plot extractors.

Desired Skills and Competencies

While the above qualifications are essential, candidates with the following skills and experiences will be highly preferred:

• Experience supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions, including travel to remote radar sites for specialized maintenance and training.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor RSAF personnel in both theoretical and practical aspects of radar operations.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in radar technology and industry best practices.
