Warehouse Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, processing orders, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your responsibilities will include receiving and stocking incoming materials, picking and packing orders, and collaborating with team members to enhance productivity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support warehouse operations, including:

• Inventory Management: Receive, unload, count, and stock physical inventory, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the inventory management system. Open boxes, crates, and other containers as needed.
• Order Processing: Pick items according to order forms, inspect them for damage or defects, and adjust inventory records accordingly. Pack items according to specified guidelines and prepare them for shipment.
• Shipping and Fulfillment: Ship and fulfill customer orders through the inventory system, inputting appropriate tracking numbers and links to ensure timely delivery.
• Workplace Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping shelves, inventory spaces, and workstations neat and orderly. Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping and vacuuming to uphold hygiene standards.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and workflows to identify opportunities for productivity enhancements. Make data-driven suggestions to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless internal delivery processes and adherence to organizational standards. Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.
• Stock Accuracy: Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring physical stock levels match the inventory management system. Record all stock movements to prevent discrepancies and support accurate reporting.
• Supply Ordering: Proactively order new supplies, including pre-paid shipping materials and stationary, to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate workplace hazards.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a similar field.
