Key Responsibilities

In this senior-level position, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a wide range of road engineering projects from conception to completion. Your core duties will include:

• Project Leadership: Providing technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of road infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Design and Planning: Developing comprehensive road designs, including geometric layouts, pavement structures, drainage systems, and traffic management plans, utilizing advanced engineering software and tools.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all project deliverables adhere to local Saudi Arabian road design codes, international best practices, and environmental sustainability guidelines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with government agencies, contractors, and clients to facilitate seamless project execution, addressing technical challenges, and resolving any design or construction-related issues.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conducting thorough risk analyses to identify potential project risks and implementing proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal disruptions to project timelines.
• Budget and Resource Management: Overseeing project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a specialization in transportation or road engineering. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in road engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably within the Middle East or similar regions.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian road design standards (SASO, GOSI), as well as international codes such as AASHTO, Eurocode, and FHWA guidelines.
• Proficiency in industry-standard engineering software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Civil Designer, or similar tools, with a strong aptitude for 3D modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative working environments.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
