Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer at KEO International Consultants, your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Leadership: Lead the structural engineering aspects of complex projects from conceptual design through to construction completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design and Analysis: Develop detailed structural designs, calculations, and drawings using advanced software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar tools. Conduct thorough structural analysis to assess load-bearing capacity, stability, and safety.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems seamlessly with overall project designs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all structural designs comply with local Saudi building codes, international standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes), and client-specific requirements. Prepare and review technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and tender documents.
• Site Support and Supervision: Provide on-site technical support during construction phases, including site inspections, troubleshooting structural issues, and ensuring compliance with approved designs. Collaborate with contractors to resolve any construction-related challenges.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the adoption of sustainable and resilient structural solutions, incorporating modern materials and technologies to enhance project performance and longevity. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
• Risk Management: Identify potential structural risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and reliability. Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance checks on structural designs and deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools. Familiarity with Saudi building codes and international standards is required.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is a plus.
