Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant – Dammam, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for professionals with a minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in ERP implementation, particularly within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of leading end-to-end ERP projects, from initial solution design and fit-gap analysis to configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare support. You will play a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into scalable, efficient, and sustainable D365 F&O solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Business Requirement Gathering: Lead and facilitate interactive workshops with business stakeholders to capture, document, and validate functional requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Fit-Gap Analysis & Solution Design: Conduct comprehensive fit-gap analyses to identify gaps between current business processes and D365 F&O capabilities, recommending Microsoft best practices and scalable solutions that optimize system performance and user adoption.
• Configuration & Customization: Configure and tailor D365 F&O modules to meet specific business needs, including financial dimensions, posting profiles, number sequences, security roles, and workflows. Ensure configurations adhere to Microsoft standards while delivering measurable business value.
• Documentation & Governance: Develop and maintain critical project documentation, including Functional Design Documents (FDD), Business Process Documents (BPD), and Solution Design Documents (SDD), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Data Migration & Integration: Support data migration initiatives using the Data Management Framework (DMF), ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and seamless transition from legacy systems to D365 F&O. Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate integrations with third-party systems and applications.
• Testing & Deployment: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Conference Room Pilots (CRP), and other critical testing phases to validate system functionality and user readiness. Oversee go-live activities and provide hypercare support to ensure a smooth transition and minimize operational disruptions.
• Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to enhance system stability and performance. Work closely with developers to address customization and integration challenges.
• Training & Change Management: Design and deliver end-user training programs to facilitate adoption and ensure users are proficient in leveraging D365 F&O functionalities. Provide post-go-live support to address user queries and optimize system utilization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience as a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, with at least four full-cycle implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Functional Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in core D365 F&O modules, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Project Management. A deep understanding of industry-specific processes and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
• Project Delivery: Hands-on experience with go-live activities and hypercare support, ensuring minimal disruption during critical transition phases.
• Analytical & Design Skills: Strong business analysis capabilities, with the ability to translate complex requirements into functional solutions. Proven experience in creating detailed design documents and process flows.
• Methodology Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt to evolving project dynamics and stakeholder needs.
