Manufacturing Junior Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Junior Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Project Support and Planning: Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering plans, drawings, and project specifications. Contribute to cost estimation processes and support the development of robust project proposals that align with organizational goals.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Participate in the creation and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy in collaboration with the Management Team and key stakeholders. Contribute to Lean activities and drive cultural change to foster a performance-driven environment.
• Analysis and Reporting: Conduct business process analysis and statistical evaluations to identify improvement opportunities. Present findings and project solutions to technical leads, senior leadership, and clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of results.
• Lean and Process Optimization: Support the planning and execution of Lean events to enhance operational performance. Lead and develop continuous improvement activities designed to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
• Problem Solving and Risk Management: Perform root cause analysis to resolve complex issues and collaborate with teams to conduct risk assessments for departmental processes and tasks. Implement corrective actions to mitigate potential risks.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to safeguard staff and visitors. Promote a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
• Documentation and Standards: Develop and contribute to improvement standards in line with industry best practices. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support decision-making and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Oil and Gas sector is highly desirable, though candidates from other manufacturing industries will also be considered.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is required.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. Excellent reporting and documentation skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to evolving project requirements. Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a dynamic industrial setting.
