Native English -Speech Therapist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Native English-Speaking Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans tailored to address the unique weaknesses of each student. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Design comprehensive speech therapy plans that clearly outline targeted weaknesses, evidence-based methods, strategic interventions, and structured evaluation procedures to monitor progress effectively.
• Collaborative Learning Environment: Work closely with colleagues, including educators, psychologists, and support staff, to create and maintain an exceptional collaborative learning atmosphere that promotes student development and engagement.
• Parent Engagement: Develop and distribute personalized home programs to empower parents with practical strategies and activities to reinforce speech and language skills outside of therapy sessions.
• One-on-One Therapy Sessions: Conduct focused and effective one-on-one speech therapy sessions, utilizing proven techniques to enhance communication abilities and address specific speech challenges.
• Therapy Environment Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy space by ensuring all materials are properly stored and returned to their designated locations before and after each session. Keep student records, including data sheets and program descriptions, meticulously updated and accessible in their individual therapy books.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed monthly reports and IEPs to parents in a timely manner, ensuring transparency and accountability in tracking student progress.
• Daily Parent Communication: Engage in consistent and meaningful communication with parents through a dedicated communication book, providing daily feedback, progress updates, and actionable tips to reinforce learning at home.
• School Collaboration: Establish and nurture strong partnerships with schools by meeting with teachers and educational staff to discuss and implement necessary accommodations and modifications that support students’ speech and language development.
• Compliance and Standards: Adhere strictly to all CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards, ensuring that all practices and procedures meet the highest levels of quality and professionalism.
• Technology Integration: Utilize a range of digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Emails, Planner, OneDrive, and Zoom, to streamline communication, document management, and collaborative efforts with stakeholders.
• Policy Adherence: Comply with all employer-issued instructions, guidelines, and policies designed to uphold the center’s mission, values, and operational integrity. Your commitment to these policies will contribute to the overall success and reputation of the organization.
