Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation: Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud-based solutions, to support organizational objectives and ensure optimal performance.
• Network Administration: Oversee day-to-day network operations, including monitoring network traffic, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cyber threats.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and end-users, to provide technical guidance, resolve escalated issues, and ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents, and generate reports to support audits, compliance reviews, and strategic planning.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to network operations and administration. Experience in enterprise-level network environments is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs), routing and switching technologies, network security frameworks, and cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
• Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
