Job Overview

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes with precision, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and contractual agreements, ensuring accuracy and completeness before approval for payment.
• Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor records, including contact details, payment terms, and tax information, while fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Payment Execution: Coordinate and execute timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors, adhering to approved payment schedules and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers to ensure alignment with general ledger accounts, promptly resolving any discrepancies and preparing accurate financial reports for management review.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, responding to audit inquiries, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable workflows, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness within the department.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to resolve payment-related issues, clarify discrepancies, and support overall financial objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and professional interactions with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal, is required to ensure seamless communication within the organization and with external partners.
