Mohammed Aljarrallah Equipments & Petroleum Services Co, a leading provider of specialized equipment and comprehensive services to the oil and gas industry in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Relations Manager to join our dynamic team based in Hofuf. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our organization and government entities, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to foster strong relationships, ensure compliance, and drive strategic initiatives that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain robust relationships with government officials, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to advocate for the company’s interests and secure favorable outcomes in policy discussions, licensing, and procurement processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret local, regional, and national regulations, ensuring the company adheres to all legal and compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to implement necessary adjustments and mitigate risks associated with regulatory changes.
• Strategic Advocacy: Represent the company in government meetings, industry forums, and public consultations to promote our services, address concerns, and influence policy decisions that align with our strategic goals. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and position papers to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and business development, to align government relations strategies with company projects and initiatives. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.
• Crisis Management: Act as a proactive problem-solver during regulatory challenges, disputes, or public relations issues. Develop contingency plans and coordinate responses to address government inquiries or community concerns effectively.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track government policies, legislative developments, and industry trends to provide actionable insights to leadership. Prepare regular updates, briefings, and performance metrics to assess the impact of government relations activities on the company’s operations and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification in government relations, public policy, or international affairs is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role within the oil and gas sector, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region. Experience in a multinational corporation or a service-based organization will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders. A proven track record of influencing policy decisions and securing favorable outcomes for the organization.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks, including labor laws, environmental regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements. Familiarity with government procurement processes and tendering procedures is essential.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in both Arabic and English. Proficiency in additional languages, such as French or Spanish, may be beneficial but is not required.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, evaluate policy impacts, and develop strategic responses. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to transparency and integrity in all government interactions. Ability to navigate cultural sensitivities and maintain professionalism in diverse settings.
