Hopper Man

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hopper Man to join our esteemed team in Saudi Arabia for a long-term project within a reputed company specializing in the manufacturing of ductile iron pipes and fittings. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our production line, with a focus on maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality standards in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Operate and manage hopper systems to facilitate the efficient movement and processing of raw materials, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production flow.
• Equipment Operation: Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport, load, and unload materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and components to support production schedules and minimize waste.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to warehouse and manufacturing safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment maintenance, and emergency procedures.
• Order Processing: Assist in the receiving, sorting, and dispatching of orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of production requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure seamless operations and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Background: Diploma, ITI, or 10th-grade certification in a relevant field. Additional qualifications in mechanical or industrial engineering are advantageous.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in pipe manufacturing or a related industrial environment, with hands-on experience in hopper systems and material handling equipment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery. Strong understanding of inventory control systems and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, with a thorough knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
