Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer to join our team for the Khafji Project Management System (PMS) initiative. This critical role will involve overseeing the project controls team across multiple projects, providing essential support to the Project Management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing early-stage deliverables, including Front-End Loading (FEL1 and FEL2) phases, with a focus on cost, schedule, and risk assessments produced by the Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) front-end development department.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Controls Leadership: Manage and lead the project controls team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivering accurate, timely reporting.
• Cost and Budget Oversight: Oversee cost estimation, budget control, procurement tracking, and forecasting for engineering and construction activities within major oil and gas projects.
• Schedule and Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive reviews of project schedules, identify critical path activities, and assess potential risks to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
• Contracting and Execution Strategies: Provide expertise in various contracting types and execution strategies to optimize project delivery and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Benchmarking and Analysis: Perform schedule and cost benchmarking for oil and gas upstream projects to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution and transparent communication of project status.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Education: A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience, with at least ten (10) years dedicated to project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, budget control, procurement tracking, and monitoring/forecasting in major oil and gas projects.
• PMC Experience: Prior experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential for schedule management and analysis.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of contracting types, execution strategies, and benchmarking methodologies specific to oil and gas upstream projects.
