Role Overview

The Sales Officer will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying and qualifying new opportunities, generating high-quality leads, and effectively managing the sales pipeline for inspection and QA/QC services across the oil and gas, petrochemical, and related industries. This full-time, on-site position is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and requires a proactive individual capable of engaging with prospective and existing clients, delivering compelling sales presentations, and preparing detailed proposals and quotations. The Sales Officer will be responsible for negotiating terms, coordinating with internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery, and maintaining accurate sales records. Additionally, the role involves monitoring market trends, analyzing competitor activity, supporting channel partners where applicable, and providing responsive customer service throughout the sales lifecycle. Collaboration with management to achieve revenue targets and contribute to strategic growth initiatives in the region is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads, and expand the company’s market presence within the oil and gas, petrochemical, and related industries.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct sales presentations, prepare proposals and quotations, and negotiate terms to secure new contracts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively, track progress, and ensure timely follow-ups to maximize conversion rates and revenue generation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal operations teams to align service delivery with client requirements, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, assess competitor activity, and provide strategic insights to inform business decisions and growth initiatives.
  • Channel Partner Support: Collaborate with channel partners to expand market reach, support their sales efforts, and enhance overall business performance.
  • Customer Service: Deliver responsive and proactive customer service before, during, and after sales to build long-term relationships and foster client loyalty.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate sales records, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market developments.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with exposure to oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial services will be highly regarded.
  • Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within inspection, QA/QC, industrial services, or similar technical environments, is essential.
  • Sales Skills: Strong lead generation, sales operations, and channel sales skills to identify prospects, manage pipelines, prepare quotations, and close deals effectively.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent customer service and communication skills to understand client requirements, build relationships, and provide responsive support.
  • Negotiation and Presentation: Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills to articulate value propositions, overcome objections, and drive sales success.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools, with a strong command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Adaptability and Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams, demonstrating adaptability and a results-driven mindset.
