Cost Manager – Onsite, KSA (Data Center)

Position Overview

Decima International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This critical role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Data Center facility, where you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and optimizing cost management processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and project management within the technology infrastructure sector, with a keen focus on data center operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Develop, implement, and monitor cost control strategies to align with project budgets and organizational financial goals. Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support informed decision-making.
• Project Cost Management: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to track and manage project expenditures. Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Data Center Operations: Monitor and analyze operational costs associated with data center infrastructure, including power consumption, cooling systems, and maintenance expenses. Provide actionable insights to reduce operational expenditures without compromising service quality.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly cost performance updates, for senior management and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between finance, project teams, and external vendors to negotiate favorable terms, resolve cost-related issues, and foster collaborative relationships. Present cost analysis findings to key decision-makers to influence strategic planning.
• Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project profitability. Assess the financial impact of changes in scope, timelines, or resource allocation.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or PMP is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in cost management, financial analysis, or project accounting, with at least 3 years dedicated to data center operations or technology infrastructure projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with data center cost modeling tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
