PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Process Improvement Engineer will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with operational processes. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor, collect, and interpret raw data from diverse sources to generate actionable insights. Create comprehensive reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
• Process Auditing and Compliance: Conduct thorough audits and assessments of processes within Napco Flexible Packaging Business Units and Shared Units. Identify gaps, weaknesses, and compliance risks, then collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans. Lead auditor certification in relevant standards is a valuable asset.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Implementation: Apply advanced methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Just-In-Time (JIT), 5S, SMED, PDCA, and Ishikawa to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
• Customer Experience Enhancement: Analyze customer feedback, including NPS (Net Promoter Score) and CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) metrics, to identify improvement opportunities. Work closely with business units to develop and execute action plans that elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Project Management: Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects with a focus on meeting deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards. Utilize project management tools and techniques to ensure successful delivery while aligning with organizational goals.
• Food Safety and Quality Assurance: Support the food safety team leader in establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust food safety management systems. Conduct regular floor rounds and SWAB tests to ensure compliance with hygiene policies and BRC (British Retail Consortium) requirements. Stay updated on the latest BRC standards and contribute to HACCP plan updates as needed.
• Technical Reporting and Documentation: Generate and update technical reports, including PID (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) reports and quality figures. Ensure accurate documentation of processes, improvements, and compliance activities to support leadership decision-making.
• Strategic Alignment and Process Excellence: Diagnose improvement opportunities and develop innovative solutions using process excellence tools such as Flowcharts, Value Stream Mapping, and Cause-and-Effect Analysis. Align departmental goals with the organization’s strategic objectives to drive sustainable growth.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a lead auditor and mentor to internal auditors, providing guidance and evaluation to enhance audit effectiveness. Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, foster a culture of accountability, and ensure adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and implement occupational health and safety management systems to protect employees, property, and assets. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures to mitigate risks and prevent market losses.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or Quality Management are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of process improvement tools, project management software, and office automation systems. Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies is essential.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions. Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities are required.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are necessary.
