About the Role

SBT Logistics is seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, drive financial excellence, and provide critical insights to support executive decision-making. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping the financial strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing financial performance across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of seven years of progressive finance experience, preferably within the transportation, logistics, construction, or contracting sectors, and possess a strong track record in financial management, cost analysis, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

As the Finance Manager, you will lead and manage all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards. Oversee compliance with VAT, ZATCA, and e-invoicing regulations, maintaining robust internal controls and finance policies to mitigate risks.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic financial plans. Monitor financial performance against these benchmarks, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Oversee daily cash flow operations, conduct regular bank reconciliations, and manage treasury functions to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Analyze and optimize working capital requirements to support business growth.
• Cost Management and Profitability Analysis: Conduct detailed cost-center and job-costing analyses to evaluate profitability by contract, customer, vehicle, and trip. Monitor fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, tires, and operational costs, to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• ERP and Financial Systems: Implement, maintain, and optimize ERP-based financial processes to enhance data accuracy, streamline workflows, and improve reporting capabilities. Leverage technology to automate routine tasks and provide real-time financial insights.
• Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, presenting financial performance reports and supporting strategic business planning and expansion initiatives. Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities, to ensure seamless operations and compliance.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of seven years in a finance leadership role, with a proven track record in financial management, accounting operations, and strategic planning. Experience within the transportation, logistics, construction, or contracting industries is highly desirable.
• Certifications and Technical Skills: Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools will be advantageous. A deep understanding of VAT, ZATCA, e-invoicing, and financial reporting standards is essential.
• Analytical and Leadership Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, financial planning expertise, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and drive informed decision-making. Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing high-performing finance teams, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
