Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, proposing, and executing financing solutions that address the unique needs of customers and dealers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer and Dealer Engagement: Collaborate closely with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders to assess financing requirements, market dynamics, and business opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points related to equipment acquisition and ownership to design customized financing solutions.
• Solution Development: Create and implement differentiated financing programs, including retail financing for customers and inventory financing for dealers. Leverage machine telematics and data analytics to enhance repair processes, improve customer uptime, and drive operational efficiency.
• Market Expansion: Support the onboarding and execution of new cash flow initiatives that facilitate business growth in emerging markets. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand Caterpillar’s financing footprint while ensuring alignment with regional and global business strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate the value of financing solutions to internal and external stakeholders, including dealers, customers, and field teams. Provide training and guidance to ensure a clear understanding of the benefits and implementation of these solutions.
• Commercial Focus: Operate in a highly commercial environment, requiring regular interaction with customers, dealers, and business partners. Analyze financial data, market trends, and competitive landscapes to recommend strategic financing solutions that drive sales and market penetration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Solutions Growth Regions division, which focuses on creating and adapting solutions across Caterpillar’s portfolio of products, services, technology, rental, used equipment, and financing. Ensure seamless integration of financing solutions with broader customer engagement strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a results-driven professional with a strong background in finance, business development, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, structured finance, commercial lending, or a similar role is preferred. Experience in the construction, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors is a strong advantage.
• Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, market trends, and customer needs to develop innovative financing solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
• Customer-Centric Approach: A passion for understanding customer challenges and delivering tailored solutions that drive mutual success. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
• Commercial Acumen: A keen understanding of financial products, cash flow management, and the commercial landscape in emerging markets. Ability to navigate complex financial structures and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing market conditions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely execution of financing solutions.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly those prevalent in the regions of operation (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, or Mandarin), is highly desirable.
