Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join NEOM Green Hydrogen Company in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This on-site role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant local, national, and international regulations, as well as industry standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our compliance framework, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements to ensure the company remains fully compliant with environmental, safety, labor, and operational laws in Saudi Arabia and globally.
• Policy Development & Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, review, and update internal policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with regulatory expectations and best practices.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and proactively implement corrective actions to mitigate risks before they escalate.
• Training & Awareness: Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees at all levels on regulatory obligations, ethical standards, and company policies, fostering a culture of compliance awareness.
• Audit & Inspection Support: Assist in preparing for and responding to internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments by regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of compliance activities, incidents, and resolutions, and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders as required.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with legal, operational, and executive teams to integrate compliance considerations into business strategies and decision-making processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to recommend enhancements to the company’s compliance programs and processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), ISO 19650, or similar) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related role within the energy, industrial, or corporate sectors. Prior experience in hydrogen, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of compliance management systems (CMS), regulatory databases, and software tools. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian legal frameworks, including labor laws, environmental regulations, and corporate governance standards.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing documentation, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in all compliance-related activities.
• Ethical Integrity: Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity within the organization.
