As an Estimation Engineer - Mechanical, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including design, procurement, and project management—to deliver high-quality, data-driven cost analyses. Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Analysis and Documentation Review: Thoroughly evaluate mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents to extract critical project requirements and constraints.
• Cost Estimation and Pricing Strategy: Develop accurate, detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical systems, including HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and infrastructure utilities. Prepare competitive cost estimates and pricing analyses tailored for tender submissions.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Engagement: Source and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project scope, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
• Proposal Development: Craft compelling technical and commercial proposals for tenders, highlighting value propositions, risk mitigation strategies, and cost-efficiency measures.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, procurement, and execution teams to validate project data, resolve discrepancies, and optimize cost estimates for enhanced profitability.
• Risk and Opportunity Analysis: Identify and evaluate project risks and growth opportunities, proposing actionable insights to strengthen financial outcomes.
• Market Intelligence and Database Management: Maintain and update internal cost databases, pricing records, and market rate benchmarks. Monitor local and international construction markets to ensure pricing remains competitive and reflective of current trends.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tender pricing. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting, is essential.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with local and international construction markets, supplier networks, and pricing trends. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications with precision.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software, with an aptitude for leveraging digital tools to streamline workflows.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management are highly advantageous. RICS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Language: Fluency in Arabic is a significant asset, though not mandatory for all candidates.
