Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Sales Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of BD’s dynamic Specimen Management (SM) division. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between BD and healthcare providers, laboratories, and diagnostic facilities, driving the adoption of BD’s innovative specimen management solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in educating clients on the benefits of BD’s products, fostering long-term partnerships, and contributing to the growth of our market presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the specimen management sector, including hospitals, clinical laboratories, and diagnostic centers in Jeddah and surrounding regions. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate and expand market share.
  • Product Education and Training: Deliver comprehensive product training sessions to healthcare professionals, laboratory staff, and key decision-makers. Ensure clients fully understand the technical specifications, clinical benefits, and operational efficiencies of BD’s specimen management solutions.
  • Customer Engagement and Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Act as a trusted advisor, addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing tailored solutions to meet their evolving needs. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Sales Execution: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by driving revenue growth through the sale of BD’s specimen collection, transport, and processing systems. Utilize consultative selling techniques to align product offerings with customer workflows and pain points.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Adherence: Ensure all sales activities and customer interactions comply with BD’s policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Stay abreast of local and international guidelines impacting specimen management practices.
  • Market Intelligence and Reporting: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities. Provide regular updates to management on sales performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics. Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions and sales progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with BD’s marketing, logistics, and technical support teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer service initiatives. Participate in regional sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare or sales management are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive sales experience in the healthcare, laboratory, or diagnostic industry, with a proven track record in selling medical devices or consumables. Prior experience in specimen management, phlebotomy, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of specimen collection, transport, and processing workflows. Familiarity with BD’s product portfolio, including Vacutainer® systems, blood collection tubes, and related accessories, is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, from laboratory technicians to hospital administrators. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic is required. Additional languages spoken in the region are a valuable asset.
  • Travel Requirements: This role requires frequent travel within Jeddah and surrounding areas to meet with clients, attend meetings, and participate in industry events. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital presentation tools. Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) or electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
