Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial reporting, month-end closing processes, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing. This role requires a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial insights. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support the company’s financial health and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Maintain meticulous records and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.
• Month-End Close Process: Lead and streamline the month-end closing procedures, working collaboratively with team members to reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and prepare financial statements. Your expertise will be critical in delivering timely and error-free financial data.
• Annual Audit Support: Assist with the annual audit process by preparing draft financial statements, supporting schedules, and related disclosures. Act as a liaison between the external auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit experience.
• Variance Analysis & Financial Insights: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of expense variances, providing actionable insights to management. Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization to enhance financial performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments across the organization to gather financial data, support budgeting initiatives, and ensure alignment with company-wide financial goals. Your ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly will be invaluable.

Qualifications & Skills

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent professional experience).
• Certifications & Technical Skills: CPA certification is highly preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and experience with financial software are essential.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, variance reporting, and root-cause identification to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
