Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Riyadh Care Hospital, specializing in home care rehabilitation. In this pivotal role, you will conduct comprehensive treatment sessions and develop personalized therapeutic programs to optimize patients' functional outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting individuals recovering from a wide spectrum of conditions—from minor musculoskeletal injuries to complex neurological disorders and post-amputation rehabilitation. By collaborating closely with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams, you will implement evidence-based interventions to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance overall quality of life. This position demands a blend of clinical proficiency, compassionate patient care, and meticulous documentation to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, including range of motion, strength, balance, and functional limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities such as hydrotherapy, ultrasound, and electrotherapy.
• Clinical Interventions and Modalities: Utilize a diverse range of physical therapy techniques, including isometric exercises, soft tissue mobilization, and the application of physical agents such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation. Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices, prosthetics, and orthotics to facilitate independence in daily activities.
• Documentation and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Monitor and document patients’ responses to therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Ensure all documentation complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnoses, review test results, and formulate comprehensive care strategies. Communicate significant changes in a patient’s condition to the medical team promptly and accurately. Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and clinical in-service sessions to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and adaptive techniques to promote recovery and prevent re-injury. Lead training sessions for medical staff and community groups to enhance awareness of rehabilitation strategies and health education initiatives.
• Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Technicians, providing guidance on treatment techniques and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. Assist in resolving issues related to treatment area maintenance, equipment functionality, and resource allocation to maintain a safe and efficient care environment.
• Discharge Planning and Continuity of Care: Prepare patients for hospital discharge by providing clear instructions on home care procedures, follow-up appointments, and preventive measures. Recommend adjustments to treatment plans based on patients’ progress and evolving needs, ensuring a smooth transition to home-based or outpatient care.
• Professional Development and Compliance: Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques, equipment, and evidence-based practices. Adhere to the hospital’s dress code, professional standards, and ethical guidelines, including patient confidentiality and informed consent. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Clinical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and applying manual therapy and therapeutic modalities. Proficiency in utilizing advanced rehabilitation equipment and interpreting diagnostic test results.
• Technical Competence: Strong technical skills in maintaining accurate medical records, documenting patient progress, and operating rehabilitation equipment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
