Principal Civil Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and oversight in civil design activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of Senior Designers and Draftsmen, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve project milestones.
• Design Oversight: Review, validate, and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and deliverables across disciplines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Project Coordination: Plan, organize, and prioritize design activities to meet project deadlines while maintaining cost-effective practices and resource optimization.
• Interface Management: Identify, document, and manage interface points between disciplines throughout the design lifecycle to mitigate risks and ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality in all engineering deliverables, ensuring they are presentable, accurate, and fully compliant with Saudi Aramco standards, international engineering codes, and industry best practices.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, SP3D, PDMS, PDS, and E3D, to drive efficient and innovative design solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: A Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Oil & Gas design engineering, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of discipline-specific layouts, deliverables, and design methodologies, with a strong command of Saudi Aramco standards and international engineering codes.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, SP3D, PDMS, PDS, and E3D, along with the ability to adapt to evolving design technologies.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional collaborations.
