Position Overview
Dussmann Ajlan & Bros is seeking a highly skilled and motivated FMMA Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Hail, Saudi Arabia. This critical role is designed to provide expert technical support and governance for Hard Services delivery across assigned sites, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in monitoring contractor performance, overseeing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) execution, and ensuring audit readiness to maintain the reliability and efficiency of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Governance: Provide robust oversight of Hard Services delivery, ensuring contractors strictly comply with technical standards, specifications, and contractual requirements to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
- PPM & Work Order Monitoring: Track and manage PPM schedules and reactive maintenance work orders through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo. Monitor backlog trends, follow up on outstanding tasks, and ensure timely closure to maintain operational efficiency.
- SLA/KPI Monitoring: Collect, validate, and analyze performance data to support the tracking of KPIs. Identify performance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Inspections & Audit Support: Assist in conducting technical inspections and audits to assess compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations. Identify non-compliance issues, support the development of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to resolution.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), permits, method statements, and maintenance records are current, accurate, and fully compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements. Maintain a robust documentation system to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
- Risk & HSE Support: Collaborate with HSE teams to enforce permit-to-work systems, conduct safety inspections, and implement risk mitigation strategies in alignment with ISO 45001 and other relevant standards to safeguard personnel and assets.
- Mobilization & Handover Support: Facilitate seamless asset verification, documentation reviews, and readiness activities during project mobilization and transition phases to ensure operational continuity and client satisfaction.
- Reporting Support: Prepare comprehensive inputs for performance reports, including PPM metrics, backlog analysis, incident investigations, and technical issue resolutions, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Facilities Management Contract (FMC) team, contractors, and client representatives to foster collaboration, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment with service delivery objectives.
Technical & Professional Requirements
Candidates must possess a strong working knowledge of MEP systems and a deep understanding of facilities management (FM) standards and compliance frameworks, including SFG20, NFPA, SBC, CIBSE, and ASHRAE. Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 41001 (Facilities Management), ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) is essential. Proficiency in PPM and reactive maintenance tracking, permit-to-work systems, SLA/KPI monitoring, and basic audit processes is required.
The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing digital tools and systems, including CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo), Performance Management Systems (PMS), KPI monitoring tools, and reporting dashboards. Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint or Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) is highly desirable.
