Key Responsibilities

As the Regional Rail Director, your strategic vision and operational acumen will be central to:

• Strategic Growth and Business Development: Identify high-potential pursuits, develop compelling win strategies, and assemble winning teams to secure multimillion-dollar projects across the Gulf States and broader Middle East.
• Program Leadership: Lead and oversee major technical programs, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives while managing owner and stakeholder interests with precision.
• Team Empowerment: Inspire and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability to achieve program goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients, contractors, and internal teams, delivering technical expertise and fostering long-term relationships built on trust and reliability.
• Global Collaboration: Collaborate with Hatch’s Global Rail Leadership team to expand and strengthen the rail practice, aligning regional initiatives with global best practices.
• Knowledge Leadership: Develop specifications, engineering procedures, and industry standards while providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Brand Advocacy: Represent Hatch at industry events, promote thought leadership, and identify new business opportunities to position the organization as a leader in rail innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this transformative role, you must bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic insight:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
• Licensing and Certifications: Professional Engineering Licensure and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are strongly encouraged.
• Industry Experience: At least 15 years of experience in rail infrastructure, vehicles, signaling, or systems integration, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in the Middle East. Demonstrated success in securing proposals exceeding $5 million annually as a proposal leader.
• Project Management: Proven track record of managing 3+ multidisciplinary systems projects valued over $50 million, showcasing expertise in scope, schedule, and budget control.
• Technical and Financial Acumen: Extensive experience in specification development, engineering procedures, standards, financial management, and estimating.
• Rail Expertise: Deep knowledge of railway operations, system safety, and RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) requirements.
• Communication and Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing, along with a proven ability to train, mentor, and develop both staff and clients.
