Position Overview

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and motivated FPS-117 Radar Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This on-site position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical radar systems projects in a dynamic and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in radar engineering, with a strong focus on FPS-117 systems, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational readiness and performance of advanced radar technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on FPS-117 radar systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Technical Support and Analysis: Provide expert-level technical support to resolve complex issues, including hardware and software anomalies, and conduct detailed system performance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, field technicians, and software developers, to streamline operations and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system logs, repair reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all radar system operations adhere to strict safety protocols, regulatory standards, and industry best practices to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
• Training and Mentorship: Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer activities for junior engineers and technical staff to enhance team capabilities and ensure consistent service delivery.
• Equipment Upgrades and Modernization: Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of upgrades or modernization initiatives to enhance the performance, efficiency, and longevity of FPS-117 radar systems.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications in radar systems or related disciplines are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in radar engineering, with a proven track record in FPS-117 systems or similar high-frequency radar technologies. Experience in military or defense applications is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in radar system architecture, signal processing, and electromagnetic theory. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software used in radar maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Radar Systems Technician (CRST) or similar credentials are advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be adaptable to evolving technical challenges and operational demands.

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires full-time on-site presence. The role involves working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with exposure to advanced radar technologies.
