ICA Engineer – E2

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICA Engineer – E2 to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and operational excellence of our industrial control and automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in instrumentation, control systems, and automation, with a proven ability to implement and maintain robust solutions that align with industry standards and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Implementation: Develop, configure, and deploy industrial control and automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMI solutions, to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all systems adhere to international and local regulatory standards, including IEC, ISA, and Saudi Aramco standards, while prioritizing safety and risk mitigation.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues within control systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance through proactive maintenance strategies.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to deliver integrated solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system schematics, operational manuals, and compliance reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., ISA, IECEx, or PMP) are advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industrial automation tools, including PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider), SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition), and DCS platforms. Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP is essential.
• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of process control, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and hazardous area classifications, particularly in alignment with Middle Eastern industrial standards.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve complex technical challenges efficiently.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
