CTAC Healthcare Support Worker - South

About the Role

NHS Borders is seeking a dedicated and compassionate CTAC Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Hawick and/or Selkirk, with occasional travel to Newcastleton. Key Responsibilities

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks designed to enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinical workflows. Your duties will include:

• Assisting registered nurses with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, recording vital signs, urinalysis, ECGs, and wound management;
• Providing person-centred care with a strong emphasis on compassion, integrity, and teamwork;
• Operating IT systems to maintain accurate patient records and support efficient service delivery;
• Working autonomously within a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience;
• Engaging in continuous professional development to expand your skills and knowledge;
• Travelling occasionally to different locations, including Newcastleton, to support service delivery;

Contract Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Borders on a fixed-term basis, with contracts running until 31 March 2027. We have two positions available: one full-time role (32.34 hours per week) and one part-time role (15 hours per week).
